Privacy Policy

This policy describes how JOBSCOUT, operating from Tamil Nadu, India, uses information when you use JOBSCOUT Campus. Contact jobscoutcampus@gmail.com for privacy requests or complaints.

Your account

You can browse jobs and use the resume tools without an account. Opening a job's application page requires signing in: Campus checks that you are signed in and sends you on to the listing's source, without recording which listings you open. Accounts are for people aged 18 or older, and you confirm your age when you sign in. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it. If you sign in, we use your email address and account identifier to sign you in and keep your saved roles. Authentication and account records are provided through Supabase. Google sign-in shares the identity information you consent to share. Campus is free and takes no payments, so it holds no card, bank or UPI details.

Your resume and AI

Resume files are read in your browser. Resume text, preferences and optional AI credentials may be stored on your device. They are not uploaded to the Campus account database. Signing out clears Campus data from this browser.

If you enable a cloud AI provider, resume text and job information are sent to that provider using your own API key. Its privacy and data-use policies apply. Review the in-app notice before sending personal information. Local matching does not need a cloud AI key.

Cookies and storage

We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in, and local browser storage for resume tools and preferences. Saved role identifiers are stored with your account. No advertising or analytics trackers are added by this application. Third-party sign-in services may use their own essential cookies.

Advertising

Campus does not show ads at present. If Google AdSense ads are switched on, the following will apply:

• Ads appear only on the How it works page and on degree and specialisation guide pages that have listings. The job browser, where your resume details appear, and the sign-in, account and policy pages have no ads.
• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this site or other sites.
• Google's advertising cookies let Google and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
• You can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ads Settings, and opt out of some other vendors' advertising cookies at www.aboutads.info.
• Campus does not give advertisers your resume, saved roles or account details.

How long information is kept

• Account and saved roles: kept while your account remains open. The service currently has no automatic inactivity deletion; closing the browser does not erase these records.
• Resume text, preferences and optional AI credentials on your device: kept until you use the relevant clear/forget control, sign out through Campus, or remove browser storage. They are not copied into the Campus account database.
• Records from the earlier trial version: Campus no longer records application-page openings, trials or subscriptions. Any such records created before 26 October 2026 stay with the account until it is deleted.
• Provider records and backups: Supabase, Google and any AI provider you choose control their own logs and backup retention under their policies. Deletion from Campus does not automatically delete records those providers must retain.

Access, correction, deletion and complaints

Email jobscoutcampus@gmail.com from your account email to request a copy, correction or deletion of your information, withdraw consent for optional processing, or raise a privacy complaint. We may ask for information needed to verify your request. Signing out, deleting an account and clearing browser storage are separate actions. We will explain any legal limits on deletion.

Service providers and job sources

Supabase handles authentication and account storage, and Render hosts the website. Provider infrastructure may process information outside India. Employer websites and job sources such as Adzuna have separate privacy practices when you follow their links. We check email domains against a local disposable-domain list before sign-in; no third-party email-validation service receives your address for this check.
